A "Modestly Bold" Blog- Limited to Limitless

What's on my mind today? Limited Thinking

"Most people don't live 90 years, they live 1 year 90 times." Mary Morrisey #marymorrisey

For all of you who read my intro blog, I mentioned this is your chance to get a glimpse into my brain! Amongst the millions of things on my brain, the one that I want to share with you today is the concept of limited thinking. So, here I go!

Limited to Limitless

My limited thinking was keeping me in a limited spot. It is what kept me at a corporate office sitting in a cubicle from 8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Obviously, that type of thinking wasn’t working for me. I kept wondering how could I possibly share my creative talents that God has blessed me with when I am creatively limited to what I can do? With the guidance from my family, training from Dylan Mariah www.dylanmariah.com , Joel Osteen #joelosteen, Joyce Meyer #joycemeyer, Brad Yates https://tapwithbrad.mykajabi.com, and more recently Mary Morrissey www.marymorrissey.com, I have learnt and am learning to never settle for mediocrity and complacency.

Why do I mention all those people above? Because I have been working with the majority of them for years. The limited to limitless concept, isn't a concept that came easily to me. It has been years and years of working with all of them in some fashion, to make me realize God created me (and you) to do something amazing with our lives. And to share our talents with the world. When you look up at the night sky, are you going to just look at one or 2 stars? Or are you going to look at the millions of stars that stretch across the limitless sky? We ALL have the capacity to look at the millions of stars laid above us. So why wouldn't we? It's a choice.

I remember driving by huge businesses and thinking that entire business started with a thought (the acorn).

Then that person executed on that thought, and with hard work and a limitless mentality, they turned it into a thriving business (the great oak tree). If they can do it, then so can I!

So that's what I'm doing. I planted the seed. And I am growing. And I refuse to tell that seed to stop growing when it reaches a certain height. I am letting that seed grow and grow and grow to where God wants it to be.

I love that Mary Morrissey said "most people don't live 90 years, they live 1 year 90 times." The days where I think it would be so much easier working for someone else, and having a consistent paycheck, I then think of how limiting that was for me. How trapped I felt. The days that I want so badly to give up, I think God couldn't have possibly brought me this far just to abandon me here! He has something incredible in store for me.

Trust me, it has not been an easy feat. In the past 6 years of owning my own business I have been told NO! at least 200 times, and that's at the least! But I know that every time I am told no, I am that much closer to the YES! that will change my life forever. And that hope and desire for that 'yes,' keeps me going.

I'm curious? Are you a limited thinker? If so, then stop it! Life is way more fun being limitless and fearless, than being limited to fear.

Until the next blog...stay Modest, but be BOLD & LIMITLESS!
